The First Five Minutes of the Rest of Your Life

You need air every 3 minutes
Emergency Responders take 5 minutes or more

Fire - get everyone out of the house
  - meet next door and count heads
  - remember pets, but after people
  - mobility issues for some in the house
  - second floor escape plans
  - family training, everyone out in 3 minutes? who needs help?
  - smoke and carbon monoxide

Earthquake - protect your head
  - cabinets falling, glass breaking
  - shoes to use thru the debris field
  - stay in place vs run
  - fire, electrical hazards, gas hazards
  - family training
  - can other members operate without you?
  - can you be better prepared?

Break and Entry
  - do you just open your door to see who's there
  - can you protect yourself
  - do you have family training or a plan?
  - run, stay and hide, or fight

From 3 Minutes to 1 Hour
So, you survived the first 3 minutes.
You will need comforting, a drink, and warm clothes
Who did you lose? What didn't make it?
Who will you contact? Can you contact them? Do you know the numbers?

Did you have a plan? What's not working? What do you need?
Did you have a "Go Bag" with medicine, critical documents, protein bars, some water, some first aid? For everyone?
What do you need if your house was destroyed?
What do you need if there are no emergency responders?
What do you need if your neighbors are experiencing the same problems?
What if your family has injuries?
